The client wanted a larger more functional kitchen, appropriate to the large size of the house and to establish a better connection with the rear yard. A small addition was added at the rear yard for the kitchen expansion. The kitchen contains lots of cabinets, a pantry, an island that faces a new family dining area, a cathedral ceiling with skylights and an adjacent deck for outdoor eating.
